Visited on a recommendation from a friend, and we were very impressed. The food was great, the portions were huge and the service was spot on. Definitely try the brisket street tacos!
We had excellent service, delicious food and full tummies after. I would highly recommend coming especially if you are from out of town. My husband had the breakfast burger and I had the best chicken fried steak ever. The chicken fried steak would have been plenty to share a plate. For drinks we had the spicy margarita and the blushing cowboy.
Dang that Chicken Fried Chicken is the bomb and that jalapeno gravy killed it! Don't share it with anyone, it looks big but it is perfectly proportioned. Yum!
What a great evening! Chef Luke is amazing! The potatoes and vegetables were delicious. The meat was OUTSTANDING! Locally-sourced beef and pork. Mmmmmmm. This place is a gem and we’ll be back!
Great food! The portions are pretty big so don’t get discouraged if you think the prices are a bit high. The food is also really great. The Texan fries were amazing and the queso on it is wonderful. The burgers are also quite good with good quality meat.
We had the brisket cheese fries for appetizer and my wife had the chicken and shrimp pasta dish...I had the chicken fried steak. The food and drinks and wine were great!!! Audrey was our server and very nice and attentive and service was great! I recommend eating here and the outside setting was really nice.
I had the opportunity to eat dinner twice at Blue Mountain about two weeks ago during an extended 4 day weekend trip to Fort Davis and Davis Mountains State Park. My first night's dinner was the brisket street tacos with a Moscow mule. My second night's dinner was the WestTex Philly sandwich with a beer. Both meals were excellent ways to end the day during my state in Fort Davis.
Great options! I think the menu may change throughout the seasons. This is a great choice to eat. We were only in Fort Davis for the evening, and I think we made the right choice choosing Blue Mountain Bar and Grill. I recommend coming here for an early dinner before the star party at the McDonald Observatory. We were seated immediately, and we chose outside dining. It took maybe 35 minutes before any server stopped by our table to greet us and we weren’t told about the wait from the host...so that was a bit disheartening...especially when the servers first went to tables of the same size who were seated after us. However, it did seem like the restaurant was super busy. Just our experience. I still recommend the restaurant if you’re visiting!
